^Good point. I say bring him in for training camp competition. Maybe he can push for a spot on the roster, or push one of the other guys to do even better.

it's truly a mystery as to why this guy wasn't given a chance. He's better than 80% of the receivers that were drafted.

Its because he has too many off-field problems for a player coming into the league. When a player who hasn't proven *anything* in the league has as many problems as he does, why go with him when there are a bunch of people who are in the same situation that don't have off-field problems. He was projected 3rd or 4th round pick before the incidents right? From the NFL point of view, its a "why bother?"

almost the same thing with Manningham. Went from a 1st round prospect to 4th because he couldn't lay low till the draft. Cost em alot of money :hmm:

Well, we would have to cut someone from our 80 man roster. And if a WR is not already motivated, he's going to get cut and bringing in Bowman would not do a d*** thing.

Even if he doesn't make the team it still puts pressure on the WR position.

Gage- Can he go back-back seasons playing well. Especially after his new contract.

    R. Wiliams- How hurt is he? Last year was his best year but then if his injury would cause him problems the whole year then he'll be nowhere near the same.

J-Mac- He's about the most dependable WR on the team. Even though he is back with Dinger he played some trash years with the Jets.

    P. Williams- I like Paul and thibk he could be good but he hasn't touched the field.

Ealy- He's shown he can play in the NFL but if he was on another team how high would he be on the depth chart. Look at above and below this list.

Hawkins- Liked the pick but again he hasn't touched the field.

Davis- Drafted for KR and PR now that need is filled. I don't think we need him.

    M. Williams- ???? No one knows how he'll play. Just ?? since he's been in the league.

Like I said, if a guy is not already motivated, there is no hope for him. We have enough competition, and all bringing in a new guy is going to do is eliminate someone and Bowman would not make the team because he does not have time to learn the system.

What about going ahead and getting rid of Davis?
