SUMMARY: Titans owner Bud Adams, speaking for the first time publicly since the resignation of General Manager Floyd Reese, said “we had to make a change and unfortunately it had to be Floyd.” In a radio interview, Adams said, “It was a hard decision to make. Floyd’s been with us all these years and done a great job and I have no complaint with him. It’s just that things were not as I would like to see in the operation of the team in Nashville and so I thought we had to make a change and unfortunately it had to be Floyd that I picked to leave.” Adams also said he hopes to have a replacement for Reese by the early part of next week and indicated the new GM would have to be on the same wavelength as coach Jeff Fisher.
