NFL.com's Ian Rapoport "could see" the Vikings making a run at restricted free agent Victor Cruz.
The Vikings were one of two teams ESPN's Adam Schefter floated as a possibility to pursue Cruz on Tuesday morning. It's still extremely unlikely that Cruz gets away from New York, but Minnesota has the cap space and draft ammo to take a shot. Per NFL.com's Chris Wesseling, the last RFA tendered at the first-round level to slip away in free agency was Laveranues Coles in 2003.

Young cheap depth? Sure. Good enough to compete with Wright and Britt? Why not. He'll probably be a 3 or 4. Which is what a team with two first round receivers really needs.

If Amendola comes then that means Washington is out, so he would be our slot guy.

I don't know how I feel about this. I'm not too high on Nate (Love his tenacity and leadership though just not his play) Not too high on Amendola and not too high on any receiver in the draft. Really hoping for Jennings to piss my Packer fan friends off but doubt that will happen.

Or DWill. He made strides last year. Not saying he'd be a great slot guy, but he'd definily compete with Amendola. Just like Britt and KW will compete for the 1 spot. That's what this team needs. Competition at every position. Players fearing that if they don't give 100% then someone will take their job.

Get Nate out of here. HE IS WHAT WE THOUGHT HE WAS!!!

Amendola is a slot beast when he's healthy. He's baby welker.

I don't get the comments that Amendola isn't a good fit. The guy is a perfect fit. We don't have a pure slot guy. Amendola is a pure slot guy. Nate has never been a good slot guy and DWill certainly isn't one. Wright is the closest but I see him playing more on the outside.

So if we can get value for Washington in a trade swapping those two guys gives us a better situation when we go to 3 or 4 WRs. Amendola actually reminds me of Derrick Mason and could the a similar target for Locker. He can get seperation from the slot much like Welker. Also very good after the catch and is a good return guy.

Him never being healthy is a big concern.
