Active NBA Player Comes Out Of The Closet

To each his own. I've seen tough guys die horrible deaths. I meditate and am a pretty peaceful guy. Can get hype to do just about anything but have way too much on the line now.

 

I don't stereotype and I have no prejudice what-so ever against gay people. If my post came off that way it was not meant to but I just think the media is over blowing the effect of the Jason Collins story.

 

I didn't take it that way. I just took it as a bunch of dudes joking around and being light about the issue. I have all kinds of friends and we joke about EVERYTHING.

There were gay/bi guys I've played against over the years. One guy could probably play for the Titans no lie. Met some other guys in flag football who were pretty beastly as well.

On the other hand, I've met some straight guys who might as well be carrying a purse. They can barely hold their own weight.


I think its a pretty damn interesting topic IMO. As dudes, we're obviously going to be uptight about it, but would you rather guys be open or not know at all?

I honestly would rather know. Not some, in your face thing, but just out of respect.

Anyone that thinks being gay is a "choice" hasn't known many gay folk.

Many are ostracized, disowned from their family, etc. That sh*t is tough... many of them hate themselves for it. Hell, I know a lot of clearly gay dudes living "straight" lifestyles because of fear for how their church will treat them if they come out.

 

The Heat are gay. Especially Lebron.

 

In the NFL you just have to pretend you dont like sex with women because of your faith. Then remind people daily.
