Osi Umenyiora has had issues with the giants the past few years. He is also very expendable to them with JPP and Tuck at the DE spots. So what does everybody think about looking at what the giants are asking? (Im going to guess a 2nd and maybe another late round pick).

Osi would come far cheaper than Mario or Mathis (making 4mill next year) and would bring an instant boost to our edge rush.

our DL would be Morgan/Casey/Klug or Jones/Umenyiora

    does not look bad no?

    Why not?

28 sacks in his last 3 years.

He also wants a new deal though which is why he had issues with the Giants. And if Mario gets a big new deal then he's gonna want one too.

Would be interested in seeing the price on Osi, he would definetly improve our pass rush.We could resign Jones as well.

    Osi-Jones-Casey-Morgan

Is a very athletic D-line.2nd round pick would be tough to give up but would probably do it.

I would definitely not be against it, but his issues with the Giants have been over them not paying him like a top pass rusher, so I don't know ho much cheaper he would be. Something like the $30 million over five years Babin got wouldn't be outrageous to me.

I'd prefer him over Mario to be honest, cheaper, and I think they would have similar production in our system.

I'd sign him to that in a heart beat.

I've brought his name up before, but the issues are the ones that have been mentioned. You would have to give up a premium draft pick and also a huge contract in order to get him. He might be a good consolation prize for a team that misses out on Mario Williams in free agency.

I just found out he'll be 31 in November.

I would much rather keep our second round pick and make Mario the highest paid lineman in the league.
