Hasselbeck flat out sucked the last half of the season. But I think a lot of it had to do with his injuries. There were many times he should not have been playing.

I think that's the kind of player he will be for the rest of his career. He's too old to play a whole season. He will start strong and fade away.

Comparing him to KFC is pretty absurd though IMO.

I know, and in early posts in this thread I even said that I would much rather have Hass over Collins. But there are so many people on this board, and just fans in general that act like Hass had a great season last year. So I compared him (just for fun) to KFC who most people generally think of as a terrible QB for us. I was surprised myself when I saw how the stats compared (although there were times last year that I was so pissed at MH and would think that he is no better than KFC). Turns out they weren't so different. So I posted them. How can someone defend MH and bash KFC when their play on the field was pretty even?

And I do apriciate your maturity during my hate posts towards Collins. I know when people wanna be serious its hard to put up with people who would rather ignore the "facts" and just go off memory

Hasselbeck doesn't have the arm to get the ball to section 122.

It doesn't matter who you put around Hasselbeck, he is not taking this team to the playoffs. Just look at our schedule. RB or not, MH would start the season 0-4. If he starts this season the team moves back another year while everyone else is moving forward. :sad2:

OK, find some stats that prove it is ubsurd ... I would be more than happy to have some one try to prove me wrong. I like to argue about FB

KFC was injuried his last year here a lot too. And he was older than Hass.

Compared to KFC, I'd take MH all day as well, but when you compare MH to the current QBs in the league he's mediocre at best. Yeah, he went 9-7 last season with one of the easiest schedules in the league. With our schedule this year we will have a losing season with MH.

I'm with you 43. Not even looking at stats but play rather. Hasselbeck looked a lot like KFC out there. Stalled drives, 3-4 yard dunk passes on 3rd and 8+, forcing throws, wheels of an 50 year old lady with a bad hip. Sure our record was better but you could also use the 13-3 record in KFC's defense.

Both had some solid and impressive games but neither of them deserved to be starting over their younger more athletic backups.

we're talking about the 2010 collins vs the 2011 hasselbeck, so no you can't use 13-3 in his defense

Exactly. He can be good in short spurts, but not a whole season. Sound exactly like an ideal BACKUP QB to me.
