Here’s a look at Kendall Wright’s deal with the Titans:

The total value of the deal is $8,218,252

He received a signing bonus of $4,417,000

    He’ll receive base salaries of $390,000 in 2012, $480,000 in 2013, $570,000 in 2014, and $884,000 in 2015.

Wright will receive a $283,566 roster bonus on the fifth day of training camp in 2013 that’s fully guaranteed and he’ll receive a $567,132 roster bonus in 2014 that is guaranteed.

Wright will also get a $626,698 non guaranteed roster bonus on the fifth day of the league year in 2015.

That means the Titans guaranteed $884,000 of Wright’s $1,510,68 million potential compensation in 2015.

$4.4M signing bonus for a rookie? I never follow contracts in football, mainly hockey, but that seems high for someone who's unproven. Then again it could be par for the course for an entry NFL contract for all I know

That's peanuts compared to the insane contracts that 1st round picks used to get. Less than $10 million over 4 years is a damn steal if you ask me. Especially for a guy we expect to start week 1.
