8-8? did it give the fans too much hope?

I hate to bring nagging day in and day out this offseason, so this will be my last negative post(although I want to hear some of the others comments). Mike Reinfeldt so far hasn't showed us what he has been known for. As of any knowledge I have(which isn't much), he is just known for signing players to long term contracts. Also, I believe he is the one who brought Jerry Rice into Seattle. Knowing that, why isn't he giving out good contract offers to players that have visited Nashville so far? I hate to say that maybe it's just that they aren't interested in playing for a team that won't win a Super Bowl, but I believe things were looking great for us during last seasons end.

Now, we went 8-8, things rolled our way in week 16 but we didn't capitalize. Stating that, do you guys think that our hope had got tremendously boosted up just because we nearly made the playoffs last season? I see alot of fans including myself, really steamed about the non production and loss of players this offseason. We also have to throw in the Adam Jones off field situation, it makes alot of debate and de-backle on this fansite.

So let me hear some opinions, do you guys think the 8-8 season gave us fans a reason to be extremely anxious and hopeful for the Titans in 08'? I believe that things will pan out and we'll all come back to reality and watch our team and cheer just for game-day. Enough of the negativity for me, I'm going to enjoy this season just as much as any other.
