Do not understand. Why did we not play for the win in this position? Were we that afraid of the big play?

Pretty much, but it's funny. The only big play they had was pure luck and because Griffin has completely forgotten how to catch the ball this season. Their offense had no real big plays aside from that fluke. I was pretty OK with losing today, we had no business winning it after shutting it down after being up 24-6. Pathetic.

Fish said in the press conference after that it was a "gut-thing" and said that "Miami had all 3 timeouts" and he "didnt want to risk a big play" lol considering they were on their own 5 yard line after a first down run.

...what game were you watching Jeff?

It was pretty sad, wasn't it? And we think we can win in the playoffs? PLAYOFFS??!!

It was almost as if he didn't even want to win the game. spooky

Haha exactly...Fisherball was in FULL effect today.

Almost like he likes winning nail-biters even though we're up double digits late in the game.

Because they were afraid of the 1st down at the 10.....that was utterly ridiculous...good call.

They were just questioning that decision on Football Night in America. Of course, no one knew why we did that, including me! Lol

I don't see how you can play as bad as we did in the 2nd half and not spend 1 time out. I mean that 4th down the Dolphins had that they scored on, before that would have been a perfect time for a time out, or after that to stop the conversion. I've seen coaches use time outs poorly before but I can't recall a coach not using his time outs. I mean to go an entire half and let your lead evaporate and not spend a time out? How dumb is that?
