49ers Contenders for Manning too?

Haven't they only got $15m cap room and reliable sources stated yesterday that Denver and Tennessee were the two contenders. The report said he met with the 49ers in the week, surely if they were contenders it would've been know?

 

well if 49ers are in it, then we are done

 

So many twists and turns on this journey. Yesterday, I was 75% sure the Titans would land Manning. Now I think it's unlikely to happen.

 

Do they even have enough cap space for Manning?

 

Swear they only have about 15million maybe slightly more, that is not enough to get Manning and sign draft picks.

 

Don't be too quick to anoint the 49ers the favorite. It's been noted Manning prefers to stay in the AFC.

 

Schefter himself said that he's not even sure that the 49ers consider themselves serious players in all this, despite having seen him throw and take a physical.
