Yea... that was a fumble for a touchback which is exactly what I shouted the first time I saw the replay.

The refs probably made the right call though... it was too close to overturn even though you know he lost control of the ball just before it crossed the endzone.

Watching live, I thought it was a TD. But when they reviewed it, he clearly started losing it when Griffin pushed him, before he crossed the plain. I was shocked to hear it upheld. However, I am not too sure it made a difference. Because let's say it was a fumble ... I don't think it went out of bounds. I remember Griffin grabbing the ball with it in the end zone and he had 1 foot clearly out of bounds as he casually picked it up.

So, Wallace fumbles into the end zone ... Griffin recover it, but he isn't eligible to recover. So, what would have been the ruling? I'm guessing Steelers ball on the 1 (where he fumbled)?

It went out of bounds through the endzone... that's a touchback for us.

But I don't think it went out. I remember when Griffin picked the ball up, the ball was still inbound, but he had 1 foot out of bounds, so he wasn't eligible to recover the ball, because he went out of bounds.

I really don't think so... I'll look for a good replay of it.

Oh, I just re-watched it. It did touch out of bounds, then rolled back in, and that's when Griffin recovered the ball. So, it would have been Titans ball on a touchback.

It was moving out of Wallace's hand before... there just wasn't enough proof.

Were you at the game watching our massive screens like I was?
