No, I meant Travis. Did we not trade a 2nd or a 3rd round pick for him? He then had one good year, and we cut him to save money?

Also, how about trading a 2nd for Jared Cook. Cook has never panned out, that 2nd round pick landed no other than Gronk. Even if we didn't get Gronk, it sure would of been nice to have that 2nd.

    Oh well, coulda shoulda woulda.

I'm not so sure we do, or if we just all bought into the hype. 2 2nd rounders and a 4th rounder. Brown has had an up and down year, and has missed many tackles. Ayers has missed many tackle, and now is being used as a DE. McCarthy has missed many tackles, but that's likely due to a bum ankle. Colin is always hurt also.

I think they all have POTENTIAL, the word we always use. Will any of them actually turn into anything, or are we looking at some more Rennie Curran/Gerald McRaths?

False. Brown has been flying all over the place and so has ayers. I actually enjoy those two. McCarthy is glass tho. Givin the right coaches they could excel. I don't see mcraths at all. And curran? Did he even see the field? Really now.

Yea I really think we hit on Ayers and Brown, and I was real skeptical with the Brown pick. McCarthy has the potential to be the best out of all of them if he can stay healthy.

Nothing is wrong with Brown/Ayers/McCarthy, LB is the LEAST of our concerns. I think there's a lot of talent on this roster, we need a new coaching staff. Ayers has impressed me the most, and Brown will prove to be a nice 2nd round pick.

Palmer is especially has to go, and Gray to follow. I don't mind giving Munchak ONE more year if he agrees to hire new coordinators.

However this is a frustrating playoff drought.

I have no idea why the word "expect" bothers you so much but I suggest you look it up.

Yes, I expected we would beat the Jags and it is extremely disappointing we did not.

So far Munch has 1 good season and 1 bad season under his belt based on my realistic expectations and standards given the team roster and situation going into the last 2 seasons.

Barring a complete collapse I would give him one more year under the guise of playoff OR bust (meaning he is fired if we don't make playoffs next year).

This is also not the best year to have a head coaching vacancy as there are several attractive college and professional jobs opening up this year.

I think there is something wrong when Blackmon flattens McCarthy.

what do you expect him to do? Fire his coordinators after going 9-7 in their opening season together?

    who does that?

You mean a team who has been to the AFC championship twice in the last four years?
