    btw .......
if Microsoft had gotten the design of the 360 right the first time, they wouldn't be on their 3rd or 4th revision of the unit
and there wouldn't be several (tens .... maybe hundreds) of THOUSANDS of dead units sitting in a landfill in the backlot of there service center

I'm about to go for my 3rd unit
    and :
I always leave my unit horizontal (never place a unit vertically)
I never leave it on for more than 6 hours at a time
it isn't cramped by other components
yet it's still finding a way to die

I hope these new 65nm chips solve these issues

Mine happened during Blazing Aces. My wife is going to return mine in the next week or so. They have a silly fix online something about reboting wihtout the HD in. From what I have read the reason for the 3RL is that makes no sense.

Microsoft and Sony do not care about the Wii. Just the same as Porsche and Ferrari don't care about Scion. The Wii isn't a real game system, it's a toy for an entire different audience. Everyone expects the Wii to die out once everyone notices how crappy it is compared to the others.
PS2 graphics and a gimmicky controller will get old here in a year or 2.

Maybe that is why they are getting their butts kicked. They tried to make the ultimate entertainment system and Nintendo just made something different and cheaper.

Money makes the world go round and Sony and Microsoft underestimated Nintendo's impact.

one could also say that the 360 is nothing more than $400 brick
or that the ps3 is nothing more than a nice DVD player

and yes, Sony and Microsoft care about Nintendo ...... alot

btw ...... for those keeping score at home

--Microsoft has shipped 1 million Xbox 360s so far this year. By comparison, Nintendo has shipped 6 million Wii units followed by Sony's 4 million PS3 units not including systems already shipped. The report says "if consumers are not lining up to buy an Xbox 360 this holiday, Microsoft clearly has problems.--

The report comes as Microsoft declared record losses this year due to a costly $1 billion warranty extension for excessive Xbox 360 hardware issues.

i got a kick out of that.

  10. The reason that people are on their 3rd system is because they are stupid and dont take car of it. Im 16 and my system has yet to mess up, people just need to take care of it and not be so careless.
