I understand why you bring this up as a shot against the franchise. I know there are Oilers/Titans fans out there.

At the same time, a lot of people, myself included, didn't really care about the Oilers. Personally, the Titans didn't really become "my team" before they got in their stadium, took the new name, and put on the new uni's.

And you used to root for the Houston Oilers right?

Guess what I'm saying is, your "shot" at others probably stings you more than 70% of Titans posters here.

Must have really hurt when the Titans immediately made the Superbowl after all those years they couldn't as Oilers.

I agree. What happened with the Houston Oilers is almost meaningless to me. I don't even think of them as the Titans, I think of them as just a team who doesn't exist anymore. I'm not from Tennessee but if I were and all a sudden I get this new team I'm going to treat it like a new team and not take credit for people like Warren Moon and White Shoes Johnson. It would be like if the Browns never came back, the Ravens taking credit for the Browns history (to me at least).

Texan fans probably know more about the Oilers than we do. I understand their technically apart of our history but I just don't care. Besides, I wasn't even born during most of the Oilers success or too young to know about it.
