He has inconsistent hands and is a 1 trick pony. He rarely gets a catch that doesn't start with a curl route. Williams, on the other hand, is doing what everyone said he'd do when we drafted him: running fantastic routes and getting open in the middle of the field. He's our ideal slot receiver. Britt, Wash, Williams. I like it.

I was never sold on Hawk. He had a few catches last year, and looked all right in the preseason, but that's about it. Damien Williams has showed me more this year then Hawkins has in his entire career thus far.

Hawk has 14 career catches in 3 seasons as a Titan. Granted his numbers for 7 catches last year looked good, but thats mostly because he caught a couple deep passes.

Williams has 6 catches 6 games into his rookie season. He is clearly the favorite of the coaching staff, and I'm perfectly fine with that. For the first time in QUITE a damn while, I'm happy with our receiver corps. Some people say it's bottom of the barrel, but I think that is FAR from the case. I'd even go so far as to say we have a top 10 receiving group, just playing in a run first system.

It depends on who's playing QB. Has there been any reports as to VY's injury?

It seemed that Collins sure looked comfy with Washington, Britt, Williams and Scaife, perhaps because he's more experienced he can help develop these new guys......VY has rapport with Gage, but we haven't seen much of the new guys or Scaife when he starts.

Scaife has been VYs go-to guy in previous seasons and Britt and VY seem to play well together.

Yup, but the gameplan hasn't included him much this year. Britt and Washington get the majority of action. Notice how KFC comes in last night and all of a sudden Scaife becomes a factor?

That's because VY throws a very high percentage of his passes this year to the wide receivers, moreso than he used to. There was an article about this, I think it was on kuharsky's blog or maybe on total titans. I don't have the time to look for it but you could probably find it.

Yep. This season the deeper the throw the better his passer rating has been. Probably has something to do with the amount of bodies close to the line of scrimmage.

how often and when the team calls pass plays doesn't necessarily have anything to do with where he throws the ball on said plays. the complaints were about the conservative playcalling in certain situations, at least that was my complaint. they opened it up the very next week.
