Im pretty sure the Britt gives us the best chance to win, will hold true here. Im just confused about hawkins. As much as i like DWill, I think Hawk has earned Playing time. After a good offseason his work should be rewarded. I just don't get it.

Britt and D williams might be what we need to become a legit passing threat. VY has had garbage options the entire time hes played here. Maybe these dudes will give him a real shot to be a good passer.

    1. Britt
    2. D williams

Well keep in mind all the hype around Hawk was in OTA's and early on in training camp when the rookies were still getting their feet wet. And his progress mainly came about because he finally understood all of his assignments. There was an article in the Tennessean last week that Williams ALREADY knows all the assignments and we're only 6 weeks into the season. He seems to be a very bright player and perhaps he just shows more talent and ability in practices than Hawk does.

Williams has shown the ability to make what I think are tough catches on those quick slants...he has shown really good hands the last few games. Why would we not have him in the slot at #3?

Williams, Britt and Washington all played the three different positions last night. Definitely gives us flexibility being able to move guys around like that.

The one thing that will will keep Williams on the bench are the motion penalties. He was a part of two illegal shift penalties last night and Fisher got him a little after the second one.

    I think it should be:

    #1 - Britt
    #2 - Washington
    #3 - Gage/Williams - depending on field position

I think that Gage has better hands than Williams, but Damian has the speed to make something happen after the catch. Gage should be on the field on the 3rd and 4, red-zone packages, etc.

Whoever the coaches decide is the right choice. End of story.

I guess we shouldn't expect to see you poking around in this thread anymore, huh?

    :rotfl:

Let's take a look back shall we? Last year the coaches (was going to say Fisher, but you'd just dismiss me as a Fisher hater) decide that Mouton is a capable returner. He goes into the Jet's game, muffs a few punts that directly lead to a loss. After the game, Fisher says (paraphrasing) "ya know, in retrospect I think I was wrong to put him in that situation. As coaches it's our job to put players in situations they are prepared to handle."

So he was essentially like "my bad", which was a big admission. But yeah....he made the right choice....

Then starting Vince is clearly the right decision. End of discussion.
