That'd be great if Ayers did anything worthwhile.

Even if he can cover TEs they'll just shove his weak-tackling azz to the ground.

Who I would have rather picked?

Drake Nevis for starters. And we need DT more than LB.

My 2nd round wishlist looks very realistic for a 3rd round wishlist. :ha:

I think Nevis would have been a reach for that pick. If we were going to get DL I would have rather had Paea or Austin over Nevis-- Just my opinion. You are entitled to yours. I personally liked the Ayers pick and thought it was great that he was there for us.

Typically once college players get into an NFL weight program, they tend to....get stronger...I know it's weird. Bulluck is/was a poor tackler (arm tackles galore) but got away with it because he was an athletic freak and a playmaker. That's what Ayers was drafted to be.

I wasn't aware Paea was still available. In that case, he or Nevis. Nevis is as good as any DT in this draft, so I wouldn't mind that reach.

But Ayers... watch entire game clips on him. He does nothing special. Ever.

If he had done nothing special ever than he would not be worthy of playing D1 football. I know we have needs at DL, but the way that some quality D Lineman are falling, addressing our needs at LB was the right move and Ayers would not have been there much longer.

Who cares if he were there much longer? I'd rather some other team get him.

He's one of those guys that make you scratch your head when you watch him on tape. How did he become popular?

Oh yeah. 14 sacks, 6 INTs and 7 fumbles is awful. What a loser.
