Jared Crick tore his pec, so I'm not sure 1st round is in his future at this point. I like Derek Wolfe from Cincinnati's program as pretty much the same player, but later.

But yeah, I agree with ImATitan. We should have a lot of good choices.

I think right now my tops are:

    Coples/Mercilus/Perry/Upshaw - DE
Washington - DT, Clemson (6'2 310 and eats double teams like AH used to)
    Zach Brown/Vontaze Burfict/Ronnell Lewis - LB
    Barron - SS
    Alshon Jeffrey/Kendall Wright - WR
    Dre Kirkpatrick/Chase Minnifield/Janoris Jenkins/Desmond Trufant - CB

Some of these guys may not be clear first rounders, but I can see them being good picks at our spot after workouts.

If Crick is injured (not implying that your aren't reliable; I'm just not in full draft swing yet and don't know all the details Right now) then he won't be a first.

    Just a scenario

    1 - DT...if they fall to us
    2 - Crick
    3 - S

Then start filling in holes that weren't filled in FA via BPA.

I've mentioned it in other threads. But we can move Klug outside to replace Ball...draft another DT to get a beast push/stuff...if a 1st round quality DE falls to us in the second I will have lost faith in our draft skills if we pass him up (of course only if we don't sign Mario).

Maybe, if Klug has...ahem, Ball-speed. I dunno. Sometimes these lighter tackles have to be under-tackles cuz they can't get there from the outside. I think, could be wrong, that Jones' burst was faster, and he pretty much failed at end this season.

If Jones stays, I'd start him with Casey, rotate Klug in, and get another run-stuffer via the draft. Tomlin probably gets his wish, though, and we end up needing 2 contributors.

Alex Mack is the only center I've ever wanted in the first. Still not sold on Konz. I have these leftover feelings that Harris should start at center for a season, and these nagging ones that Kevin Matthews is on this roster for a reason.
