That's what I meant...and I agree
Give me Williams instead. Jeffery is not worth what he is going to get paid
There is no Jeffrey deal that will be easy to get out of. He is one of the top wr's in FA and he'll be expected to get paid. His hope will be Dez Bryant money but his PED's put a big dent in that. Even still, someone will be desperate enough to give him way more money than he deserves at this point and his guaranteed money will be too large to do anything with. If he gets suspended for a year...then what? You have cap space for a single season which doesn't help you or you cut him and blow up your cap with his prorated SB hitting you all next year! Short of everyone staying away from him and his market value being zero...as in bring him in for a one year vet min, I'd do that but I don't see that happening.
Agreed. Spend money on getting Berry here, take Williams at #5, and then the best CB left at #18.
That would give us a legit #1 WR with Matthews doing the heavy lifting early in the season till the rookie figures it out, a young athlete to cover, and a veteran safety to cover up the rookies mistakes.
This would be fantastic. I'd also like to nab one of the top FA CB's though. McCourty will be gone soon enough, need to have depth too.
Can Williams return kicks/punts?
IDK but his stat sheet shows zero attempts at fielding kicks/punts
Adoree Jackson is a game changing returner and very talented athlete at the corner spot. He might be available at #18...
I wouldn't be opposed to this. At the very least we would have Berry who is a proven safety.
That's my dream. But I seriously doubt Berry leaves KC.
Adoree Jackson will probably be available in the 3rd round. People on this board boast him like he is a top 5 corner in this draft. He isn't even close. He is crazy fast and good at punt and kick returns, but not a great CB and he wayyy to short.
