There will always be complaints unless they find a way to take the subjectivity out of it.

That's what happens when you have over 100 teams, technically, in contention for the playoffs.

Only way it'd be fair is to COMPLETELY reorganize the system... and that will never happen.

    Even then, people will *****.

    UT still a joke..?

    #2 SHOULD be totally irrelevant.
But I think you nailed it. The committee is playing to ratings (which is total BS) and that's why Bama got in and it wouldn't make sense to not have them get in as #4 anyway against Clemson.

    Total ratings grab.

    16 teams
10 conference champions, 6 at large that aren't conference champions. (Also allows for the Independents)

Every team then has a possibility to win a championship, including teams not in the "power 5".

Now most likely, the lesser conferences get stomped by real teams, but they still play the games.

To adjust for the longer schedule:
    A) get rid of the worthless week 1/2 games where Power 5 conference teams lend out their notoriety to some no name college to beat the s**t out of them. (Or lose Mich/ App St. style)

    B) Do not take off the entire month of December. Use the first and 2nd week.

    C) Move the National Title game another week later in January to allow for the semi-finals after/on New Year's.

B***tching about not getting in should be fairly minimal since we're talking about teams with 2-3 losses or more being left out and virtually no one in the top 10.

How do you do that? College basketball has 68 teams in the tournament. You know who wins the tournament? The traditional powerhouses. The lowest seed to ever win was Villanova... a traditional powerhouse.

Expanding the field does nothing except placate the fans and increase the money. It’s dumb.

NCAA basketball used to be 16 teams. Guess what? People complained it wasn’t fair. Stupid idea.

I’m sure the players and coaches want to play two to three more games (this is sarcasm), but what do you care as long as you get your crappy team into the playoffs.

Has nothing to do with "my team". College basketball also has like 350 teams.

Like I stated by having every conference representative, every college team legitimately has some small shot to win. Right now I dont understand why anyone watches the Sun Belt, MAC, AAC, Mountain West, or conference USA. Every one of these teams might as well be FCS. They have lower than a 0% chance of ever even being invited to the CFP.

Stop wasting the power 5 games on teams that aren't in the power 5. So for those "extra" games they need to a wider playoffs, get rid of games like Alabama vs, Mercer. Why have that game? It does absolutely nothing for Alabama or anything towards the CFP selection. (Since obviously it doesn't hurt teams to waste a game beating up on HS teams).

College football already takes December off. All of these players are preparing to go to the NFL whether they are or not so expanding to potentially 14-15 for the 2 teams that make it to the championship is t changing a lot.

Of course VCU, George Mason, Wichita St. have all been in the championship game within the last 11 years, so clearly the opportunity for a lesser conference to win is there.

MTSU defeated Michigan State... March Madness is great. And I don't even care about basketball.
