2015 Broncos D vs 2017 Jags D

Titans 08 defense > Jags 17 defense

Seeing lots of play call talk here. Robiskie called his best game this year vs Baltimore. Hope that keeps up. Maybe they needed the bye week. Its hard to make major adjustments during a game week.

 

The jags have a shutdown tandem if cb’s which gives their d play calling a big advantage which some offenses can deal with and others can’t.

Their run d will be the thing to watch along with their offense. If they can force teams to throw due to keeping them in 3rd and longs or building big leads in offense, they’ll keep being very good.

Teams that can pound the ball and or stay in 3 wr formations and run or hurt them in nickel and have a good enough defense will pose a problem for them.

I am still annoyed we let the Jags get Bouye instead of us. Think how stifling OUR D would be if we had Bouye, Ryan and Jackson as our top 3.

 

ever heard of an anomaly? That's why you can't just look at stats and make assumptions. I'm a data scientist I know what I'm talking about.

I have yet to read a post of yours to back this statement up.

 

The Jags' GM has been there for 5 years and has a horrific record. They were significantly better the 5 years prior to his arrival. So understandably, after 5 years of selecting in the top 5 of the draft, and paying top dollar for the top defensive FAs, things would come together. Neither of those is a sustainable practice for building a winning team, and I don't think suggesting that we ape the Jags is good advice.

 

I honestly don't even think Bouye was even in the cards for it.

Robinson was all in as Ryan being his CB FA acquisition.

 

Huh? How is what I suggested the JRob show when JRob didn’t do that???

 

So you think that because the Jags have made a lot of bad decisions, that one of their very good decisions is bad because of the others? And so pointing out we could have (should have) made the same good decision is wrong because the Jags did it?
