Note the "loyal" fans are the ones that have been recently successful.

They're not the fans that are the problem. Also note how you never saw half of them UNTIL they were successful. Finding an Alabama fan when they were struggling was a hard task 10 years back. Now? 1 out of 3 people are "loyal" 'Bama fans.

The problem with 80% of SEC fans is that their team blows. So they dickride the teams you see on that list.

The Tennessee, Kentucky, Ole Miss, Vandy, Arkansas, USC, and Miss State fans are the problem.

If attending the university is a requisite to being a legitimate fan then I know a lot of Gator fans who aren't real fans.

Attending games is a sign of a good fan but not a necessity. I missed one home game last year and I have been a fan of my team since grammar school, good years and bad. Notably more bad lately but I predict that is about to change There are crappy fans in all sports but it is juvenile to pigeonhole any general segment of fans. It is a sports bigotry at it's best.
DW , maybe I should drink more to try and comprehend your views on life.

nah it isn't. But its definitely different having attended and lived at the university vs. having NOT attended and lived at the university.

It's a little more in your blood when you have memories and experiences to back up the fandom.

I've taken classes at Michigan. Not that it matters.

Boom, sucka. Keep acting like you know someone when you don't.

Sister went to UM. Parents went to UM...

I don't "hate" southerners. I just think the majority about 30 yrs behind everyone else.

And I did graduate. Just not from there.
