Don't buy into 40 times he plays faster watch the tape, we needed a deep threat. You guys should of seen it coming with us bringing in Moss and Avery.
I just looked up a few things on him, because I skipped the last few weeks of pro days and hype. I was reminded of what I liked before. One article, based on his visits, predicted he would go anywhere from 19 to Chicago, to 40 to the Panthers. The Titans must have liked him a bunch to take him at 20, and enough to feel that someone like a Joe Adams later would not have fit the bill. They were probably in consensus on this pick. Also means they feel good about interior OL, DB, and DL later. I think people who know Wright well as a player, which I don't, think he's a steal for whatever team takes him. I hop we're that lucky, but I'm optimistic. Also could be afraid this is as much some CJ insurance as much as it is about Britt. But hey. I won't really go there until tomorrow.
Why did you never bring him up? I watched Illinois 3 or 4 games this year and nobody on offense impressed me.
Missing the point I'm not even that upset that we ignored our glaring needs on the O and D-line and went with a WR. My biggest problem is that with specimens like Alshon Jeffrey and Stephen Hill still there, we go with chocolate drop instead. Between this move and our inability to bring in guys like Asante and Koppen i'm seriously starting to question whether our F.O. even takes this seriously.
He's not an average body, he's an NFL wide receiver! I'm not trying to come down on the guy, I think he's a very good slot receiver but the Titans had better put in a conditioning clause in his contract.
Good call, if not Fleener I think they may trade out of it. All F.O.'s get a night to rest and reset their boards, having the first pick in the second round is a very good place to be.
