We essentially got two first rounders in the 1st and 2nd, and a solid 2nd rounder in the 3rd. We're getting great value with these picks AND picking up needs. If we have the sense to put Harris back at C and pickup a G and SS via FA/4th round, we're looking excellent this year in terms of filling holes in the offseason.

    I agree....6'1" and 300 lbs bother me a bit...pretty short and stocky.

How did we get "essentially" 2 first rounders?

No one thought Akeem Ayers was a legit first rounder. Hell, once people actually watched him they said he should go in the 3rd.

I would say our draft has been good so far. Hopefully we can continue to draft solid. Players I like for day 3:

Christian Ballard, Casey Matthews, Edmund Gates, Jalil Brown ,Tyle Sash, Jake Kirkpatrick, Clint Boling, Chimdi Chekwa, Quinton Carter, Jeron Johnson, Mark Herzlich, and Brandon Bair... just to name a few.

Ayers was projected a late 1st rounder on almost every draftsite, and by almost every expert. Before his slow 40 at the combine, he was projected Mid 1st.

    Best draft in years imo.

Say what you will about the Locker pick. Our staff obviously really likes him.

I just can't get over how awesome the Ayers pick is.

This is the year before last season (2009). Before he was being double teamed like he was during the 2010 season. Upgrade from Marks. Will do well in the DLine rotation.

And last season. I rate what I see over any combine. I like the pick.
