After watching it on eBay for a month I finally bit the bullet and bought a signed, first edition copy of Warren Moon's bio "Never Give Up On Your Dream" for $30.

Like all the cards. Love the Sterling Vince jersey.

I loved opening packs all my life, but don't do it anymore because I cannot afford to buy a box for $200. The fun factor is still there, but I lose all control if I open packs when I can just go on e-bay, keep control, and buy the card I would have been hoping to get for less than the box of cards. Helped my collection out enormously to just buy the card.

The industry needs to make it more afforable, with the same success, if they want me to buy packs again. I want to buy packs, it just doesn't make sense for me to do it.

I use to really enjoy collecting cards, but it became kind of pricey at one point. Maybe I'll get back into it someday. This thread makes me wanna get back in to it.

As Phi said, just do eBay. One of the perks of being a fan of a small market team is that the cards are dirt cheap on eBay. The Cook letters above cost me less than $5 each. Derrick Morgan and Damian Williams' rookie autos can be had for a buck. Chris Johnson cards still go for a fraction of what Adrian Peterson's sell for.
