if if if ... please UT out hustled Memphis the entire night
I can't wait for Vandy to knock off Tenn next week...
Why shouldn't UT fans cheer something that has never happened in it's history. I haven't seen anyone say we are the best team in the country or we will win the championship. We aren't stupid. But you're telling me if Vandy would have become #1 in the country, they wouldn't be there cheering the bus or plane?
And it is only luck if you take advantage of it. UT was the better team last night and deserved the win.
No. Beating #1, IN THEIR HOUSE, is a great accomplishment.
I guarantee you, if Vanderbilt. Yes, Vanderbilt, beats the #1 team this week, they wont act near as giddy about it as the Vol fans.
Becoming #1 isn't the hard part. Staying #1 is.
If Vandy wins, they'll storm the court even though it'll cost them $5,000.
anytime you go on the road
into a hostile environment
against an undefeated team
ranked as #1 in the country
and you come away with a win
it's a big deal
I think they've had several violations the past 2 years for that.. It will prolly cost em $25,000 this time. Hopefully, I'll be one of the thousands :ha:
I never said if Vandy beats us. I said if Vandy ever beat a team and became number one, they absolutely would act that way.
I won't apologize for any giddyness after beating a team that most thought we couldn't beat, an instate rival, the number one team at their house.
I just don't get it. I didn't get that excited when Memphis became #1. It's about as important as being #2. Rankings don't matter in college basketball.
