I have been against that also. It seems as if Jeff was just waiting for a vince mistake to put kerry back in.
Although we had a great year, i feel fish was wrong in doing that. Especially since Fisher has a rule that states a player will never lose his job due to injury. Maybe why Vince was a bit shaken by losing his job.

I totally buy into this reply until you get to the part about wasting snaps on Collins. What options do the Titans have? Collins is the more effective QB so, ceiling or not, Vince won't get the chance unless Collins goes down. In 2010, we don't know what the Titans might do to improve the position.

As I've said many times before, if Collins goes down and Vince were to come in and light it up, nothing would make me happier. I too pull for whoever is behind center. But I also won't kid myself in thinking that giving Young snaps is going to make him a superior QB.

Agreed. And if the McNair of that era were on this team, he'd be starting.

It's not that Fisher doesn't want a QB who can take over a game late, it's just that, in the scheme of things, it's not as important as taking care of the football.

Look at McNair up to '03. He handed off to Eddie. He hit Wycheck for seven yards. All in the name of protecting the football. He was handcuffed until a pathetic start gave Fisher no choice and allowed him the opportunity to take some risks.

Everything Fisher does is to save his own Butt. Fisher is only looking out for Himself, prob why his Wife left him also.

Fisher couldnt afford a 8-8 season with VY. He was afraid Bud Adams would coming knocking.

Guys the reason Vince lost his starting job is because he melted down. He admitted int the espn interview that he didn't even want to play football again last season. why would fisher put him back in at starter given that?

If that's the case, then why wouldn't jeff put kerry in the game when vince supposedly had a meltdown?

You're right, but that's still making excuses. If you're winning with >6 minutes, everything before that isn't really relevant. Time to finish the game, which we not only didn't do, but repeatedly allowed the Steelers to do.
