146 reasons keeping Mularkey was the right move

Very important question:

Is mike Muklarkey going to boldly put together a staff that fits his vision of a successful coaching staff or does he apply the Peter principle and just keep on the same bozos we have failed with the last 2 years?

I'm afraid it is going to be the latter. He will keep Horton as DC and most of the same loser staff returns. He won't be bold enough to make real changes. Jim Schwartz would be a real change I would agree with.

Nick Saben hires young aggressive and smart people for his staff not friends people he simply feels comfortable with. Is Mularkey going to be like that or is he going to just hire mediocre people he once worked with? The titans need a new direction and new blood.

There was a report that he was building his staff already. Sounds like new blood. That may be one of the things he used to sell himself; getting new assistants. Stick around, it can't get too much worse from here.

 

Jefferson is gone to Miami. DL coach has moved on. So has special teams coach. Already have addition by subtraction there. I hope he puts Bostead on the curb too.

 

Whiz had a better record than Mularkey at the time we hired him and had at least taken the Cards to a super bowl. Hell we had to compete with the Lions to get him.

Most titan fans liked the Whiz hire. In 20/20 hindsight of course a horrible hire but we are hiring Mularkey after a 2-7 interim knowing that he had already failed with 2 other teams.

 

Interesting idea. Maybe Strunk is the part of the family that wants to sell. I guess ticket sales have little impact on valuation of a franchise.
