1 year deal for Battle

Can't cut Greene. He's somehow owed a lot of guaranteed money. What a ridiculous contract that was.

Also can't cut Greene because he's easily the best RB on the team right now. Which is sad.

 

Yeah if by good work you mean run into the back of our o-line and dive and wind up short on every goal to goal or short yardage situation then yeah.

 

Perfect. We have our two big backs - Greene & Battle. Now, lets go get our change of pace back in the draft.

 

Battle is a perfect #3 RB. Has experience and is a STs contributor.

Have to fill in the roster as much as possible before the draft so that you aren't forced to reach for a player.

 

Tre Mason would fit in there nicely.

We already get that with CJ. At least Battle is cheaper.

 

LOL. CJ had a better success rate at converting 3rd or 2nd and short then anyone on our roster. By far our most efficient RB near the goal line too.

 

You must be mistaken CJ from last year to CJ from a few years ago. He used to struggle picking up 1 yard now he gets it more times than not.

he's a bruiser if you ask me. if we didn't have (overpay) greene, i'd like battle (maybe even for a million).

regardless of if we keep CJ or not, or had gotten greene (we are committed based on money, so nothin happening there), i'da rather taken a shot at a more 'all around back' in the 4th. in fact, i hope we still do.
