Hope is a battering ram, isn't he? :grrhee: Cut off his arms and he would STILL stop plays!
I just looked it up and Schwartz is actually an antonym of Defence....
No, defence. Speak English, you american ****-up :moon2:
And, at one point Jax ran 33 or 34 consecutive offensive plays against our D before our offence got on the field.
That'll help explain some of the time of possesion.
a shame we couldnt have held off the ravens.
The claim above was not that Vince was solely responsible, but that the Vince Vibe was. This is true. Look: Occam's Razor: every team Vince joins, irrespective of previous ability, toughness, coaching staff etc, begins to play cohesively as a team and believes it can beat anyone. A series of separate, independent causes, each individual to the respective teams? Or one cause, common to all three teams? Occam's Razor demands that we assume the latter.
The team won today because it did not quit. Same reason it beat the Giants. The defense simply could not stop the Jags, but they played hard all 60 minutes. How often do teams quit or press, resulting in mistakes? Not the Titans. They held on for dear life and played as a team.
Fisher is a good coach, but the players, especially on defense, had lost faith in the coaches at the beginning of the year. There was a lot of talk about finger-pointing in the lockerroom, rolling eyes at Schwartz, etc. Now they are refusing to quit and picking each other up. What brought on this change in mentality?
The effect Vince has had on the team is much larger than his contribution to the offense. That is something about his game that was overlooked 99% of the draft pundits and 0% of people who followed UT and Houston Madison while he was there.
We just missed a FG at the end.
people sometimes overlook the intangibles - advantage : us
