Titans part ways with linebackers coach

    The Titans have relieved linebackers coach Frank Bush of his duties with the team, according to sources familiar with the situation.

    Bush, who joined coach Mike Munchak’s staff prior to the 2011 season, had an expiring contract. Munchak informed him on Thursday morning he won’t be retained for 2013.

    Bush became the third Titans assistant to lose his job since season’s end. Munchak fired tight ends coach John Zernhelt earlier this week after parting ways with running backs coach Jim Skipper last week.

    Bush, who formerly served as defensive coordinator with the Texans, did a nice job developing young linebackers Akeem Ayers and Zach Brown in 2012. Ayers led the team with 101 tackles in 2012, and he also had six sacks and eight quarterback pressures.

    Brown had 93 tackles and three interceptions, including two he returned for touchdowns in the season finale.

    Middle linebacker Colin McCarthy missed nine games with injuries.

    Thats odd. This was the one position coach that probably shouldn't have been fired.

    Munch is putting a lot of effort into finding scapegoats for our poor season. If he really wants to fix the team, then the 1st people to fire should've been:

    Gray
    Matthews
    Loggains (or at least demote back to QB coach)

    Those are our biggest issues. We should be focusing on those 1st and foremost.
