Predicted Locker to have a big game before today. Didn't expect as many yards as he threw for though.

I wish they'd give up on the screen, honestly.

Something I have been thinking about since last year:
Jake Locker can run just as well as Scam Cam. If he starts last season, does he win ROY?

Likely not, 'cause Britt went down and Scam has Steve Smith to throw to. But it is food for thought.

Titans quarterback Jake Locker won’t have a tough time remembering his first NFL win. Not only was it a 44-41 overtime victory against the Lions, it was also a game in which the second-year pro repeatedly rose to the occasion and made plays.

Locker was 29-of-42 passing for 378 yards and two touchdowns. He guided what turned out to be the game-winning drive in overtime.

“I don’t think I could have dreamt them up any crazier than that when I was five years old,” Locker said. “Somebody asked me after the game, and it’s definitely one that I’ll never forget for my first win.”

Locker survived a shaky start, fumbling a shotgun snap the Lions recovered and turned into points. He threw touchdown passes to Jared Cook and Nate Washington. He showed off his speed with a 31-yard scramble.

“I thought Jake was great all day against a very good defensive front,” coach Mike Munchak said. “He made play after play. Guys caught balls for him. He’s competitive. He took us down the field on that last drive to get the field goal to give us the three points to go ahead. So, it was just a lot of good things to watch from the sidelines.”

Locker, who struggled in losses to the Patriots and Chargers, finished with a passer rating of 113.0.

“We had confidence in what we were doing today. I think you saw that everywhere,” Locker said. “You know, there’s still things we can clean up and can get better at, but I thought we consistently moved the ball today and that was encouraging as an offense.”

Yeah... his boy Tashard Choice had 91 yards rushing, with his longest almost equalling CJ's total through the first 2 games... SUPERBOWL!

Locker had his coming out game and probably will be the best game of his career for a long time - dont see him beating this stat line anytime soon (although he has the big arm for it) but sure look foward to the future with him at the helm. I was hesitant as many were - but feel a bit more comfortable now after this awesome performance.

Most of impressive part of this for me was the how well Jake bounced back from a bad game last week. That ability to bounce back from adversity will be the reason is Locker is successful.

Locker seems to do a lot better at home than away at the moment.
