So the Chargers are ranked #12 after beating two bad AFC teams and the Cows are #2 after beating two equally bad AFC teams?

Football journalists are retarded. But I do agree with us being at 31.

I think we should at least give the WR corps a chance to get healthy before we start crucifying the offense and Jake Locker (who just made his 2nd NFL start ever). This team is capable of playing much better, but they're young. Growing pains are to be expected, but things will get better as they get more experience and repetition.
I've never understood the gripe about "Fisher answers" or the lack of emotion on the sidelines. I think Munchak has the business side of the game down, and I think he knows what it takes to be a leader. I thought this was a good quote from Wednesday's practice report:
(on when it is necessary to start firing up the guys)
I’m not saying we don’t do those things. My job is to stay calm. I shouldn’t be the guy yelling and screaming and being out of control. I think they need to see a guy that is calm and understands what we’re doing and has confidence that we’re not panicking. I think when you start screaming, yelling and hollering, you don’t have an answer. You don’t know what to say, so you start screaming, yelling and knocking things over. I give them a message, I give them what I think they should focus on, so they have something to think about rather than saying, ‘Hey, That was my reaction. Why shouldn’t that be theirs?’ They need what they need to hear, whether it be during the game, at halftime, after the game, on Monday, whenever it is—they get the message. My message is delivered the way I feel is the best way to do it.

Ultimately, players need to execute. I can't express how disappointed I've been with the O-line, but the season isn't over yet. This team has a lot of young play-makers with a lot of potential. I think Locker will only get better as the season progresses, but the team on the whole is going to have to take their lumps.

The Texans are clearly an elite team. You're just a blind homer who doesn't know football with some sort of grudge against football journalists if you don't believe that.

And the Chargers aren't a bad team either...I could see them anywhere from 10-14.

Wow, and "TheSureThing" continues to fail to live up to that name. Elite? Why? Because they beat up the 28th hardest schedule last year? Or because they beat up two of the worst teams in the league so far?

We'll see how elite they are as the season goes on, but unlike you I'm not jumping on the bandwagon until they actually beat an elite team. And I cannot tell you the last time they did that. It certainly didn't happen last year and it certainly hasn't happened this year.

Have you all seen what Fisher is doing with the Rams? The Rams sucked last year and now they at least are playing exciting football. I regret buying the Sunday Ticket this year because it's like torture to watch this years team.

The Rams would be 0 - 2 if not for Josh Morgan being a moron.
The Titans would be 0 - 2 if we still had Fisher since he can't beat Belichek or the Chargers.

I don't think it's just pessimism at our season. We seem to be falling behind in evolving our game as far as coaching and plays. Can you really tell any difference between this team and last years as far as schemes? It's boring, predictable, and ultimately ineffective. Defense seems to play prevent /zone to the point where it's sad. And offense looks like the same spit we were boiling up even in fishers last few years. We are trying the same plays with the same people in different positions. I'm no guru. Just my honest observations.

Yeah, I've already noticed a lot more aggression on defense (in the form of blitzing). Munchak has already shown he's willing to go for it on 4th down, and we take an adequate amount of shots deep. If you can't see the change then I don't know what to tell you. Rebuilding is a process, and I happen to think we are in the right direction. We were clearly over-matched the first two games, on a talent and experience level. At the same time you have to remember Locker just made his 2nd start and our two best WRs were limited to 20 snaps each.
It doesn't matter what changes the coaches implement if the players cannot execute. At the end of the day the secret to being a good coach is to have good players.
