You're right. When a team puts out such a terrible performance multiple weeks in a row, no doubt fan's psyches will be hurt. And judging by 2004... if this continues, we'll have a mostly empty stadium by december.

Palmer is in way over his head. He's not using any of our offense players to their strengths. Our horrible O-line isn't making it easier for him but he's still running vanilla preseason plays. :anon:

You're exactly right, but even a decent offensive team should be able to execute the simple plays, we can't even run an HB dive correctly. Nothing wrong with fundamental football and fundamental playcalling. But whatever they're doing as a staff and a team... it isn't working.

I'm not worried about the losses at this point because from a W-L standpoint we are exactly where I thought we would be. I didn't expect us to beat the pats at home nor the Bolts on the road.

I am certainly worried about the manner in which we have lost these games. We have been non-competitive on either side of the ball. Worst part about yesterday was that it was against the backup RBs and TEs and we weren't competitive.

I do worry a bit. This was definitely the argument for starting Matt.

However, Locker seems like a toughh kid. I think he'll be ok.

I sometimes wondering if people watched the same game I did. Yes, jake threw a couple in the dirt, but if you want to talk about drive killers lets talk about runs on first and second down leaving you at 3rd and somewhere between 8 and 14 yards to go, and the D knows they have to pass, rush 8, and our OL collapses before 2 Mississippi. I thought Jake had a mediocre performance, and the OL had a miserable performance.

Figured this was the best thread to post this factoid from last season.

So there was a pretty big reason why the offensive line looked good in pass protection last year: Matt Hasselbeck's quick release. Ol' Matty led the NFL last year in average time between snap and throw at 2.4 seconds. He got rid of that ball super fast. This was pointed out by Peter King in the most recent MMQB when he was talking about Mike Vick's unnecessary holding of the ball too long.

So basically the line also wasn't that hot at pass protection last year either. Matt just made them look good.

You do realize we only ran the ball eight times sunday so that was not what was killing drives. Jake was very inaccurate at times and made poor decisions. Like trying to go deep to kendall wright on 3rd and 1 when you know he cant get any seperation on a streak pattern!
