The Titans will enter Sunday’s game with only four wide receivers because of Kenny Britt’s suspension, but if injury strikes, they have at least a couple of options.

One is tight end Jared Cook, who often plays in a flexed position that’s more like a wide receiver than a tight end. The other is running back Darius Reynaud, who was an excellent wide receiver in college and spent the first 2 1/2 years of his pro career at that position.

“I’m willing to do anything, man,” Reynaud said. “They’ve given me a couple of looks out there (at wide receiver), so if they need me to go back to play wide receiver, I’m more than happy to do that.”

Reynaud moved to running back midway through the 2010 season with the Giants because of a rash of injuries at the position. The 5-foot-9, 201-pounder would prefer to remain at running back, where he carried 24 times for 146 yards (6.1-yard average) and a touchdown during the preseason.

“I love it, seriously, with some of the stuff they’ve got me doing here,” Reynaud said. “With the zones, they’ve got me reading a lot of holes and seeing mismatches, so it’s just taking advantage of that.”

He was an explosive receiver at WVU. I like having him as an option at wr.

Nice to see that he can actually catch the ball consistently in open field and get YAC, pen and paper CJ!

We do need a catching threat at RB for some sets. Reynaud could be an effective route runner after play fakes and could really help open up the offense. He'd require a spy just like CJ if he started catching passes out of the backfield.

The Titans have to have Reynaud in a package this Sunday. Quick slants. Screens. Whatever. Getting him the ball in space needs to happen.

I really think this guy is going to blow up this season. He clearly has great vision & instincts and is a very versatile player. I expect him to eclipse Ringer & Harper, and I think by season's end, we are going to have one of the more dangerous backfield tandems.

Just another reason why he's our offenses most dynamic player. And if you think I'm kidding, I am not. It's actually rather sad Ringer is still :cj:'s backup.

Do y'all think the coaches are going to be smart and get Reynaud involved in the offense early & often, or will they take the dense Fisher-like approach and keep him buried on the bench while Ringer & Harper get snaps & rack up 2YPC? Imma be pissed if they don't get him ample touches just because he's listed 4th on the depth chart.

I want this guy involved in the offense alot. I think he could be our Sproles. The perfect type of player to bail out a young QB.
