The trash talking between twin cornerbacks Jason and Devin McCourty just gets better and better as Sunday’s game between the Titans and Patriots approaches.

Jason (Titans) fired a mild shot earlier this week when he let it be known he was the consistent winner whenever the two met on the basketball court. Not so, Devin (Patriots) told Nashville media during a conference call on Wednesday.

“I think with (Jason), I think he’s had a concussion,” said Devin, a starting corner for the Patriots. “He probably forgets that I won most of those battles. We don’t remember many of the scores, but we just know he usually left angry.”

What do you think about that, Jason?

“Hopefully next time I see him, I’ll give him a concussion and see how that feels,” Jason said.

Then came the topic of speed, where Devin – not surprisingly – said he held the edge.

“(Jason) is going to say (he’s faster) because his pro-day time is faster,” Devin said. “But if we go back to the last 40 he ran at Rutgers and the last 40 I ran at Rutgers, I ran a 4.31, he ran a 4.32.”

    Strength?

“We haven’t tested that, but usually it’s me,” Devin said. “I’d probably say it’s still me. I’m usually stronger than him in the weight room.”

Jason wasn’t buying any of that.

“There’s nothing he can do that can beat me,” Jason said. “I’m faster, stronger, quicker.”

It didn’t take much prodding during the conference call for Devin to one-up his twin brother on a consistent basis, which led to this question for Jason: Does Devin have more of an edge to his personality than Jason?

“Some people say he comes off that way,” Jason said with a smile. “It probably stems from coming out of high school, he was the one who was less recruited. He kind of came to (Rutgers) on my scholarship, so I carried him a little bit along the way. So he’s kind of developed a little bit of a chip.”

    Game on.

This is the kind of trash talk I don't mind seeing. Each brother claiming he's better at everything than the other. Good stuff.

If Devin and Jason switched uniforms at the half, I wonder if anyone would notice?
