Madden 13

The game is much better in the PS3 version than Madden 12. To everyone getting disconnect quit using Wifi. Use an ethernet cable and get a decent router. I'm 3-0 ranked online with the Titans. Franchise mode is no fun the computer sucks. Play real people. Haven't seen the cheesy kickoff stuff yet on the PS3 version. Hope that gets patched.

Pros:
Thank god the shake blitz has been removed from the game.
Finally a wide 9 formation.
Passing trajectory fixed. i.e. no more magic linebackers that take away all deep routes down the center of the field.
Improved pass leading. Back shoulder throws across middle, leading receiver to sideline, and jump balls to tall receivers in the in zone.
Fade route in hot routes improved.
Can dump the ball to the RB to stop play action if the blitz is coming too fast.

Cons:
Slants to the outside removed on hot route and replaced with zig routes.
Can't wait for the roster update

Tips:
try using stevens as FB on some formations
use 5 wide shotgun formation with Britt in slot and Cook and Thompson on the outside matched up on their best corners, then abuse them with CJ, Britt, and Washington being covered by linebackers. Then the next play use at 2 TE formation and run the ball. They will not know what defense to use.
Play more zone coverage on passing downs with the Titans and blitz less. Use madden 10 shortcuts to set zones to the middle or outside if you think you know what the other guy is going to do.
Play 4-3 cover 1 vs the run and audible your LB or safety in the shallow zone to man to man on the RB and move an 8 defender into the box.

Madden PS3 tag: B_Wheel if you want to play me. I always want to play Titans vs Titans but almost no one used the Titans in Madden 12.

 

Seriously what is up with the removal of the outside slant hot route. I abused people with that in 12.

I'll try using an Ethernet cable instead of wireless.

 

Not a fan of that either but that is precisely why it was removed, way too easy of a first down 9/10 times

 

This article says that calling return right or return left (and NOT return middle) can help overcome the squib kick glitch thing. Not sure I believe it will work, but it's worth a shot.

 

Because of that I just run Cover 2 Zone all day unless I know it's a run.

 

Used it all the time... I noticed in the demo it was gone. Dumb.

Still haven't played the actual game.

 

Okay I used to run a lot of zone but my guys were getting torched. Now I'm using man a lot more and coverage seems to be better and I'm forcing more turnovers.
