What difference does it make? It's not like talking big makes him any more or less productive on the field. If he were training on the track regularly, I'd understand the anger, but he's been in camp, he's practicing and what happens beginning Sunday is what it is. He can shut his mouth and not say anything, that's not going to keep people from their expectations.

CJ just's a guy with pride who talks a bit of smack in his spare time, just like anyone else in the entire league. if he can do a sub 4 40, or at least get close, why not talking about it in a silly interview like the one he's doing? besides that, CJ always says the right things and stays out of trouble and, regardless of underperforming last year, has given his best to this franchise since day one. let the man talk and just try to enjoy the tongue and cheek aspect of it. he knows darn well he needs to perform on the football field to earn true respect.

in his press interviews. he's never been a "me" guy that craves attention - he always gives credit to his o-line when he has a good game, and always talks about getting a win for the team

You're out of your mind. CJ is one of the biggest 'me' guys in football.

All he cares about are his stats, records and money.

nah, he only cares about his stats and money as much as the next guy. all players do, they just don't say it, and CJ has never said it either. watch a post game interview -- he will never mention stats or his own performance (unless he's asked), and always talks about helping the team win. and how many players have you seen hold out for more money in the past several years? any player that has a big year or two under a modest contract asks for more money. it always happens. look at welker and MJD this year, just of the top of my head. the titans were being just a greedy as CJ when they were working out his latest contract.

He might be able to do it on a track with cleats and a starting block. I could probably run a 4.2 under those conditions and I'm a 4.5 guy.
