I guess I can't complain.. I'm still not really sold on him as of yet. I wish they could have waited to see how he fares this year before extending him. But knowing our luck, he would of become a big time shut down CB and demanded more money than what he got today.

On top of that, the cap limit goes up next year I believe.

That's true... still too much IMO.

    He's started just 24 games.

kinda surprises me that multi million dollar signing takes place on a little cheap wooden table in about 10 minutes. but it take an act of congress to sign off on a house $160k. lol

Being most rookies are receiving 4 years max on their contract with an option 5th year, 2 years is a good time to evaluate talent. I think alot of what this team does is base potential on practices.

The Titans have agreed to terms on a five-year extension for cornerback Jason McCourty.

He’s now under contract through 2017, and the new deal includes $43 million of new money, including $20 million in guarantees and bonuses.

McCourty was a sixth round pick in 2009.

McCourty deal folds in $1.26M base for this year, bringing total to $44.3M over next 6 yrs. Another $3M in escalators brings max to $47.3M.

Albert breer twitted it... That means he would be getting 44 million in 6 years, right? Average of 7.3 a year..if that's the case, im cool with it!

Good deal for both. He'll be underpaid in a few years like Gronk will with his deal. Who's next to resign? Bironas?
