    1. I am not advocating that we trade Hass, but I would be interested in seeing the Cards would offer. Hass still has value to the Titans, but he has much more value to a team like the Cards. He would be the instant starter over Kolb and Skelton, and be playing in a division that he knew pretty well.

    2. Hass only played with us for one year. Its not like he was drafted by the Titans and been a Titan his whole life. He isn't a Bulluck, McNair, Eddie (and we even cut those guys). The Titans don't owe him anything (other than the millions of $$ we already gave him). I like Hass, he has been a stand up guy and a pro, but I don't understand this attachment and loyalty to him that some people seem to have for him.

And if we were going to trade him, now is the time. He has more value to some teams than he does to us. Not saying that he has zero value to us, but other teams would benefit from having him more than we would. Teams like the Pats that ALWAYS have multiple good draft picks know when to cut ties with players at the right time and not hang on. We could let Hass rot on the bench for 2 years and have a warm fuzzy feeling that we have a good back up and we were loyal to him. Or maybe you realize that his value is high now and sell.

I wouldn't be mad in either case. I can see both sides to the arguement, but Hass might rather go somewhere he can play. I doubt he has much attachment to TN.

Yeah I agree with that - but my question is now will the Titans fans understand that there will be a learning curve - or will they jump off a bridge if the Titans fall to 0-4 and Locker looks rattled out there.

Do people think the Titans can win the division this year or is it Houstons for sure?

I mean there is going to be a learning curve and a tough schedule to match - so people are going to need to be patient here in 2012 and realize that winning the division will probably have to happen in 2013 unless Houston has their usual rash of injuries.

I just have that feeling half the forum is going to think Locker is leading us deep into the playoffs and its bust if he doesn't. With the QB move by Munch comes with a lot of optimism and excitement to a new era but this also comes with a huge learning curve and possibility of a frustrating year with highs and lows realistically.

I wasn't trying to say he was, just that he has been everything we could have wanted out of him. Then just to go and trade him for a 7th rounder or something stupid. I just don't think the value is there for other teams and what he is worth to us.

It's an argument of basement vs ceiling. Do you want a guy doing 70 QBR every game or do you want, at least at first, a guy who may bust out a 120 game but then give you 40?

Whichever you (collectively) choose, is likely indicative or what you want at QB for us. It's not hard.

Safety vs risk. We're not a super bowl team this year and MH is losing velocity on his throws by the second. I don't see a problem with finding out if Locker can be the guy for the future now.

Clearly this was a coaching decision considering MH is making five times more $$$ than Locker this season.

If (these) coaches make that decision, they haven't given me any reason (yet) to believe they're making a blatantly bad choice since I haven't seen much to believe Titans staff is clueless about personnel.

Exactly. I hate the idea of hiding Locker from good competition. If you want to be the best, you have to beat the best. Locker might not be able to beat Brady in his very first NFL start, but he will see 1st hand what type of level of play is really needed to make it to the Playoffs/SB. We could hide him and let him beat up on some weak defenses and then we could all 'feel good' about him, but I think that really just lowers the bar for him.

Its not like Hass would beat them anyway. Hass only beat 1 team that had a winning record last year. That doesn't give me a whole lot of confidence that he would've won any of our 1st four games.

Lets be honest... no matter who our QBs is, when we lose, 1/2 the posters will be flipping out and asking for the backup QB to start. I mean.. just look at the preseason game threads, posters were saying we should of drafted Gabbert for crying out loud.

You are probably right about that. If that is the case, then keep him. I have no problem with that. I still think he offers the Titans value. But I would like to at least see if the Cardinals or Browns or some team that could really use him would be willing to trade, and if so what.

Its possible, I think most teams have their 'answer' at QB. I doubt the Browns look at anyone outside Weeden, as he does not have the time to waste.

TOMB had way too many homers for me.
