The Titans have named Jake Locker their starting QB

Outside of fluke interceptions? Debatable.

Hass wont be going 2 of 9 and consistently completes more than 50% of his passes- something Jake apparently can't do.

 

Hass gave him the Jesus power, Locker inherited it.

As I recall, we were 0-6 with Kerry, and 8-2 with VY after Bud forced the mustache to start Vince.

 

He was pretty bad the last 6 or 7 games of the year and looked like Kerry Collins. 5TDs, 8 Ints and a QB rating below 80 in most of those games.

 

i see locker being pulled in our first game and i hope hass comes in and win his job back, the kid is just not ready!! the pats might be hass new best friend

 

EITHER WAY. Hass and Locker have had like, 20 plays combined this preseason, and that's enough to warrant a decision? Ridiculous. There's still two games to play, and the last two games are when they are supposed to get the real playing time..

 

My response as I read this story this morning:

 

I know that Locker didn't play great last game, but we put up 20 points at the half. A lot of that had to do with our defense making plays, but I think some of it had to do with Locker opening up the running game.

If Locker is encouraged to take off when he sees a lane, then its gonna be tough for defenses to stop us. You can't spy CJ AND Locker. Play action and bootlegs would either kill the spy, or open up the passing game. If you noticed last week, there were several plays where Locker should've taken off. The huge run lanes could be there because they are spying CJ.

When Britt gets back from his injury/suspension, we're gonna have a potent offense. If our defense plays the way it did (which could have factored into the decision) we're gonna be a tough team to beat.

 

In that situation, yes. This one? No.

How do you feel about McCarthy and Casey? Neither of them earned their starting jobs last year, they both played because of injuries to the guys ahead of them.. But once they took over they never looked back. Why can't that be Locker?
