When VY was drafted there wasn't even a #2 receiver on the team and we drafted Lendale in the 2nd round that same year VY was drafted. The next year we drafted Griffin in the first round which was a good pick but defensive none the less. Could have had Bowe but he went to Kansas City. In the 2nd round VY gets stuck with Chris Henry when he could have gotten Steve Smith. Not great but a legitimate 2 that could catch. That draft was finished with the picks of Paul Williams, Chris Davis, and Joel Filani. Enough said.

The next year the Titans got CJ, which helped the run game but not the pass game. Instead of drafting Jason Jones the titans could have moved up and got Desean Jackson in the 2nd. Would have had the fastest team in the NFL with the fastest WR and the fastest RB. Also got Craig Stevens (blocking) and Lavelle Hawkins. VY got hurt CJ's rookie year and did not get a chance to see the benefit of CJ as Fisher decided to stay with KC, which was Fisher's ultimate preference when they first signed him.

The following season after making KC the starter Fisher decided to sign Nate Washington and draft Britt with the #1 and got Jared Cook for a TE for him. None of this was never for VY and was all for KC. Even without being surrounded with talent for the first couple of years of his career VY never bad mouthed his teammates and never complained about a lack of talent surrounding. Yeah VY needed to grow up but some of the problems can also be attributed to the coaching staff we had. Sam Bradford is getting ready to see what it is like to have Fisher as a coach. They drafted Brian Quick in the 2nd who is big but inexperienced instead of getting Bradford Blackmon or Floyd. Maybe he can turn into a good receiver but I am willing to bet Fisher wanted him because of his size and can probably help in the run game. Bradford's chance to become an elite QB that put up big numbers left when the Rams signed Fisher as their coach.

I don't think we gave VY a fair shot really. We didn't surround him with weapons early in his career or cater to his mental weaknesses which are pretty obvious now. You'd think after drafting him they would know they had to give him special attention.

Now Fisher is drafting more headcases, which I think is fantastic since it's the Rams.

The Titans really have turned it around now that VY is gone. Everything was his fault, that's why this has been a playoff team ever since he left.
