My favorite pick so far. I am still a bit worried by the first pick. WR was not our top need, and there is a huge bust factor with WR. Oh well; gotta learn to trust the front office....but I was a big fan of Chandler jones.

This pick was awesome. You gotta love DTs that have wrestling moves!!!

The second pick was fine, but I am a big fan of Witherspoon. This might signal the end for him this year or next.

Somebody help me out with some terminology...

In the press conference on the main page, they were constantly saying Martin would play nose tackle.

A reporter asked, "does that mean you're going to a three man line?" The line coach laughed, and said no.

So what is a nose tackle in a 4-3? What is the difference between a nose and a three teqnique?

I think he was just saying that instead of defensive tackle, cause he said, "we're gonna stick with what we've been doing" which is a 4-3. Also said we would do some 3-4 as has been discussed by Jerry Gray before.

Picking guys who have wrestling backgrounds can't be anything but a positive. Especially on defensive side of ball. Pretty happy about this draft so far.

As a Michigan fan I love Mike Martin, right?

But even as a bias Michigan fan... I'm not crazy about him translating to the NFL.

But compared to the first 2 rounds? This is actually a pick that shows our FO isn't as stupid as they acted in the first 2. They may have a brain after all...

I went back and looked at the last 5 or so drafts. To find a pro bowl type of player is pretty rare in any round, but it is like the lottery to find one in the later rounds. So, while we all can be excited by these later draft picks, probably 85 % won't even make it through the first training camp.

I like the Martin pick as well. I'm not sure how he'll translate either. From what I've seen he's all strength and I don't know if he's going to be that strong/strong enough at the next level....

    We'll see..

Solid draft overall. We got 3 solid guys.

Martin=Casey. 2 big run stoppers inside who can move a little.
