    Exactly.

I was NOT sold on Mercilus, and i'm an Illini fan. Was up and down on him all off-season... but mostly down.

Perry is a workout warrior, reminds me of Vernon Gholston.

Upshaw... not the greatest fit for a 43 DE. Most scouts saw him as a 2nd rounder.

There's a ton of DL still available: Worthy, Branch, Curry, Still, Thompson, and Wolfe. It's likely we'll land one of them. Our FO knows what they're doing. We got a playmaker RD1, and will now focus on D.

Look at Casey and Klug last year, they were 3rd and 5th rounders. Look at their impact last year.

Looks like Steve Smith/Holmes type. This will help Cook Britt Nate and CJ ALOT more space for all of them.

I see the same thing from last year happening first Offense and all the other D.

The draft isn't over. Obviously they saw WR as a need, because that's what they picked. You can't guarantee Britt is going to be healthy, and behind him Damian Williams and Levelle Hawkins are just simply not going to get it done with our schedule. This is an offensive league now, and you can't beat the patriots with 6 points. We need playmakers. There are plenty of great defensive players in the later rounds. This FO knows what they are doing.

Alright, lets think about this for a second.

How much of a difference is there between a great guard and a good guard? How much of a difference does that talent level make in a game? I would say not much, that's why teams don't draft guards high.

The Titans had the opportunity to draft DeCastro or a guy who can score touchdowns. I think that's what it came down to. Good guards can be found in literally every single round relatively easily. The Titans have had success going the mid-round route before and obviously think they can do it again.

I'm surprised it wasn't a defensive player, but I wasn't totally sold on anyone available on defense anyway. DT is deep this year and not a single 4-3 outside LB came off the board in the first round.

They might actually know what they're doing.

You're an Illni fan. Do you remember Walt Aikens. He was legit safety at illinois until he got in trouble. Just asking.

    i love the pick
britt's ability to stay healthy is unknown...if he does then we have a great offense, if not then WR was a need!

    BPA > need

munchak and matthews def have their eyes set on a O-line later i the draft since how adamant they were about not getting one in the first round...no worries

then the rest of the draft is D.

I'm hoping Wright can play PR/KR for us so we can kick Mariani's sorry behind goodbye

Ok whether or not he becomes a stud is in question and I honestly don’t know… but clearly he was NOT the best player available! BPA was hands down DeCastro! BPAs at a position of need would have been Mercilus, Perry or Hightower. We took Wright, hopefully it works out, but he was not BPA.

He better be significantly better than Mason!!! Don’t get wrong, I loved Mason but I’m going to expect much much more from this kid to have taken him at 20 with those other players on the board. I want Anquan Boldin rookie #

I would rather play against Wright in Houston than again Mercilus!!! I don’t care how good your receivers are… try getting them the ball when your QB is on his a$s all day! Unfortunately, now those roles might be reversed.

I hope that becomes a reality! It’s hard to argue against Fitzgerald and Floyd right now though.

Ok. I’m not as mad now as I was earlier. Like I said, I don’t think he was BPA and we have bigger needs right now. I feel like a WR marginally improves our team while there was still a number of players out there that could have drastically improved our team!!! People keep saying he will be a deep threat, but if we wanted a deep threat we should have gone with Stephen Hill who, although is very raw, could be the next Moss. We could have traded down, or we could have moved up on the second. Even with his 4.41 at his pro day I am not impressed. The reason combine times are always slower is because they are measured electronically. They are more accurate. Using a stopwatch leaves a lot of room error.

However, I do trust this FO. I know that Much and Mathews are fully capable at finding hidden gems to plug into our O and D lines in the late rounds. I’ll be hopeful that Wright will prove me wrong. I pray that I have to eat my words. I want to compare him to Boldin although I know he is not as physical. Please please please be a stud man!!!!

What might hurt the most is that the players that many of us wanted went to our rivals!!! Damn the Steelers, Patriots, and Houston!!!
