We have plenty to be optimisic about

Candidly I am grateful we did not get Manning...
Think of the situation in a light of not getting him:

1) We have good QB situation with Hass & Locker
2) we have plenty of cap room -- and there will continue to be movement (opportunity) through camps for free agent pickups.
3) Only wiff of consequence while waiting is center. From what I see on the boards, the top 2 centers available in the draft are projected as 3rd rounders -- perfect spot for us, allowing first 2 picks to go towards defense.
4) We were 9-7 last year, the jags and colts remain a mess... split with Houston again this year and we have a good chance at the division.
5) While we did miss on FA center, our oline is still improved.
6) Our FO showed last year they have ability to get mid-late draft picks that can make significant contributions as a rookie.

And we finally get stadium upgrades!

As for this Titan fan, I'm bullish on our 2012 season outlook.

 

I think this will work out to be best. I still like to yell at Manning when he brings his happy feet.

 

I am glad Peyton got what he wanted. That said, I think Bud offered him the perfect ending to his career. I do wonder how this will tarnish his legacy in Tennessee. I for one as a titans fan and a resident of the state of Tennessee take this as a double slap in the face. The man literally could have run for, and won governor after he retired from the titans. That is now gone. Unless money was the issue I just cannot understand why he went to Denver.

 

For those talking about Denver's weather, just fyi the average temps are Sept 78, Oct 66, Nov 54 and Dec 46. Nashville Sept 82, Oct 71, Nov 59 and Dec 49. Not a big difference. Denver also averages over 300 days of sun a year. Weather isn't typically a issue.

Regarding receivers rumor is Denver may go after Mike Wallace and give up the draft pick and $ to land him. Putting him with Thomas and Decker will make the group a legitimate threat. The Oline is fine despite the numbers from last year. Really not concerned about that group.

Can understand why there is a lot of frustration from Titan fans as I would probably be the same if the situation was reversed...

 

Unless you have a franchise QB (neither have proved they are although granted Locker hasn't had a chance) you're QB situation is not "good."

That's all.

 

Manning is overrated and has no heart. He whines and complains when he doesn't get exactly what he wants.

John Elway lost sight of the most important aspect of a quarterback: heart.

You will never see that being done by five head. Elway wasn't great that game, but the play of the game that gave his entire team hope was a scramble.

I'm not a tebowite, but he is a leader.

Financially a great move for both parties.

Glad I'm not a broncos fan.
