just know that 1) Tennessee football has been a staple in this state for a lot longer then the Titans and 2) Peyton Manning is a product of the Tennessee Volunteers.

So how about showing a little respect.

 

Just know that 1. Titans football means just as much, if not more than Vols football to some people and 2. A lot of people are a product of TN voluteers, including Haynesworth. And your point is?

Look, I respect that people have their own opinions. However when people come here and get all stupid and insulting people because they have different beliefs, then you can throw your respect card out of the window.

Were a community of very different people but the one thing that brings everyone on this board together (before the manning cheerleaders invaded like the Young cheerleaders did) is the love of our Titans.

To act like we owe the Vols, Peyton, or that song anything, is beyond arrogant.

 

Sorry but one is not the other. Respect has nothing to do with it. Apples and oranges my friend. I guess if Vince Young somehow ends up on the Texans roster they should start playing the "Eyes of Texas" at their home games. Stupid logic.

I don't know about you, but I was a Houston Oilers fan before this team came to Tennessee. This franchise historically has nothing to do with the State of tennessee and Bud only moved the team here because nashville was going to build him a stadium where as houston was not. Peyton Manning has done nothing but win our division and if he becomes a titan, he'll do nothing but keep us from winning this division. We aren't beating the Texans with Peyton Manning. He can't throw against a good 3-4 defense and Wade Phillips has that defense playing like contenders. Saints, Chargers and even the patriots (when they had talent on defense.. not so much anymore... remember Peyton was 0-6 vs NE at one point) has given him fits. Its a gigantic step backwards and a slap in the face of real titans/oilers fans... as well as Jake Locker and Matt Hassellbeck
