No cap room, just extended Alex Smith, NFC team...

They already extended Alex Smith? I thought they didn't.

If they did, obviously they're not players here...

 

profootballtalk says smith hasn't been extended and that this was probably why.

we're being held hostage.

Best thing about this is- SF saw Manning throw and they apparently think he can play.

 

Just heard the Yankees are interested in Manning too.

 

Doesn't matter if they extended Smith or not- they still don't have the money.

 

worst thing is SF is a much better team than Tenneessee or Denver.

Im also a niners fan as well as a titans fan and can definately tell you smith has not signed an extension, no idea where some of you are getting that from. They have 18m in cap space right now but are likely to cut dixon and harylson and could be left with 23-25m, taking away 5 or draft and maybe some more for an o-lineman and receiver
