Interesting thought.... If we sign manning, both Locker and Luck have to follow Mannings legacy.

This is going to be a true coaching test for Munch and Palmer, to knit all this together with a new QB (with a very complicated way of doing things) and hopefully 2 new linemen, and a WR coming off severe injury.

    Should be fun!

Yea I wouldn't mind Abraham..I definitely think he can give us a huge boost on the DLine.

And as I stated in another thread..I definitely think the allure of us having Manning (if he does come here) will help entice other guys to come here which is always good. I think we're lucky that because its Manning...other guys are willing to wait to see what he does. I would be p****d if we lost out to other guys because we're focusing solely on Manning

This is a true test for Manning, he hasn't had an offensive coordinator in years since he has been calling the plays. How is he going to handle our system or do we adopt his, and he takes over the show. What about Locker development as a player, does Manning really want to take the time to develope anyone. If we are offering him a front office position, that means we can't cut him or dump him, meaning if he wants to play for 4-5 years bud is going to let him play for that long, than what about Jake.

Were going to lose out on Williams if we sign Manning.

Him being in Buffalo this long, no deal, and the reports coming out about him waiting to see what we do with Manning?

Its not fact yet, but it will be. Unless he throws everyone for a loop and signs for less in TN.

I think Manning will do things how he's always done it..his way. What will be fun is watching everyone else catch on. LOL. What we do know that if he comes here...we probably will no longer be subject to the same conservative OBVIOUS plays lol

Jake may not get many practice snaps, but he SHOULD learn all there is to know in the film room. Not to mention the habits of how to work at being great.

If he is still performing at a high level in 4-5 years, we cross that bridge when we get there. But for now, I think its the best thing for us AND for jake.

ETA: And if we DON'T incorporate a lot of what peyton does better than anyone, we are idiots and wasting our money. The following should definately be in our offense next year.

    The stretch play with CJ
Play action off of that (suck on that dilemma safties!)
Peyton checking into and out of plays. With Cook and CJ, and his ability to exploit mismatches, it should be deadly.

Jake sitting for 2+ years isnt going to benefit him more than playing.

We'll see I guess. It gives him time to work on mechanics and really, REALLY learn the game.

If he approaches this with the right attitude (and I have no doubt he will) then he is getting access to a GOLDMINE of how to be a NFL QB info.
