So the question I asked, again was....

How is that a hard concept to grasp why people have that opinion?

You avoided the question completely. Then say you dismissed my opinion because I base my opinion off of what happened in the past?

Go read again. I have stated on many times that my problem with signing Manning is that we need to use that money to fill the glaring holes in our team. I even said this very clearly, on a post that was a reply to you

Ill RESTATE it for you AGAIN

My OPINION, is that we have too much to fix right now and bringing manning in will hurt that more than it will help it. The money will go towards a position that we drafted to fix a short year ago.

My opinion is not based off of what happened in the past. Just because I point out that it didnt happen with Farve, doesnt mean you can make crap up on how and why I base my opinion.

Quarterback is the single most important position to a team's success in any of the major sports. We have a chance to go from league average or slightly better to an MVP caliber signal caller if Peyton is the player he was before he got hurt. If he can't play, it costs us Hasselback and however long we give him before we turn it over to Locker. If he can play, he finishes his career here, gives Locker time to develop, and we still have time to evaluate Locker further before we move on. Literally the only legitimate argument for not signing Peyton Manning is that you feel one of two ways:

    A) Doing so will cost us Mario Williams.

    B) Locker is ready to lead us to a Super Bowl right now.

A is possible, but our chances of getting Mario are probably 1 in 5 at best. B is not true, and may never be true. If we were to sign Peyton we have a legitimate shot at winning the Super Bowl in the next two or three years. If we don't we probably will not. It's really not that hard a decision to make.

I dont intentionally insult anyone, ever. (maybe CJ, and calling random people I dont talk to idiots from time to time) If I do so, I have no problem apologizing to anyone that I do it to.

Where did I do this again?

Good, because I said it 2-3 times in this thread alone.

And I love a good debate as well. However keeping up is kind of an important part of the debate, as is reading.

If healthy, and he's willing to be reasonable with his contract then heck yes I want him. I can't understand why anyone wouldn't in that scenario.

HELL to the YES. If he's still willing to take an incentive-laden contract...that would be awesome. Locker would be able to learn from one of the best ever to play the game. Our offense immediately becomes that much better with Peyton. The defense can feed off of someone like that, knowing that whenever we have the ball he won't make as many dumb decisions as someone like Matt "check it down and throw it 2 yards in front of the first down marker" Hasselbeck

IDK. On one hand it's Peyton Manning the top 5 QB but on the other hand it's Peyton Manning the guy I'd punch in the face if I could get away with it.

I feel like I've been saying this ALL DAMN DAY. Not one person can refute the statement. Frankly, I'm getting tired of it.

Manning SAT OUT an ENTIRE NFL season with a NECK INJURY.

There are 3 red flags in that one sentence.
