I think he makes the hall of fame, definitely not a sure thing yet though.

But he's still not elite. He's the definition of chuck and duck on a lot of plays. This was one of the luckiest playoff runs I've ever seen from a team. He didn't really impress me all that much.

"Eli Manning is the luckiest two-time Super Bowl winning quarterback ever," is all I'm getting from this thread.

    Give the guy his due.

Now its easy to say that. Eli was not very popular for a few years, and talk was heavy with them parting ways. I do not blame him either, but at that time, he went to a bad team for his situation IMO.

Bad way to start the off season, with Eli Manning threads.

Not a hofer yet. Not even 30K passing yards yet. Sure if he plays another 7-8 years even with no more SB wins but keeps the yards up he will have a shot at the HOF but not a 5 year lock like Brady will be.

He is an Elite QB today but give the D credit. Giants O had trouble in the red zone. I still think Peyton is far better of the two. Sure Eli now has 2 rings but Peyton never really had a D and last few years had a lousy coach. Peyton also set a new standard. Eli will be the 2nd best of the Mannings.

If you look way down the line and look back all time best QB's you would still want the Steve Youngs,Elways,Montana & even Peyton & Brady over Eli. If Peyton had the coach & D Eli has. Be wearing a few rings.

It's funny... Everyone on here still seems to think Eli is just alright, but you're not going to find anyone in the professional world calling him anything less than elite.

From the post-game commentary I've heard from dozens of analysts on ESPN, NFL Network, or via Twitter, every single one of them have said the same thing I have... elite, HoF, etc.

Just a lot of Eli haters on the interwebz.

    9 TDs, 1 INT.

Also, if you call this one of the luckiest runs, you'd have to say the same about the 2000 Ravens, 2001 Patriots, 2005 Steelers, 2007 Giants, and 2008 Steelers.

Eli had a good game against the Falcons. He also had good games against the Packers and Patriots, who happen to be the 2 worst defenses in the NFL. Eli didn't have a very good game against the Niners, a game the Giants only won because Kyle Williams can't field a punt.

Eli is the only manning I respect. HOF'er, don't know, yet. But 2 rings sure puts him in the discussion.
